Passenger list from the Bolivar showing my 4th Great Grandfather Peter (Peirre) Vitrich
This is the manifest from the Bolivar Sailing from LaHavre France and arriving August 3 1838 New york
This 1900 census list shows members of the "Widrick" family that did not live in New York.
You can see that they came here in 1838 as well.Quite possibly because of the German accent their name was misspelled often. Such as Widrig Wittrig, etc.
Joseph Wittrig was the nephew of Peter Vitrich and they both came to America on the Bolivar in 1838.
